Note: This page section is a draft! It only contains very basic instructions, but it will surely grow over time to give you all information you need to successfully create your own guides.
To activate the Quest Recorder simply click on the questFlux Access Button with a CTRL + Mouseclick. The button's base color will change into a dark red and the question mark will turn into an exclamation mark. Now you can start playing as usual, the Guide Recorder will silently gather all the data that is important for replay. To deactivate the guide recorder use the same keyboard-mouse shortcut again.
If you want to create a guide template from your gathered data you should think about adding some helpful task descriptions in order to help the guide player to manage the heavy stuff. You don't need to create a description for every task, just for the tricky ones. But remember, leveling a character can be quite boring from time to time - so it's always a good idea to throw in some entertaining notes to make the guide more enjoyable. By the way, don't worry about the tasks without any description, questFlux will automatically display standard descriptions for those tasks e.g. 'Pick up the following quest'.
To add a task description open the Control Panel and go to the Quest Recorder tab. Now use the list on the left and select the task or quest that you want to add the description to. In the quest detail view on the right simply click the desired task with a Right Mouseclick as shown in the figure below. This will bring up an edit box so you can enter or edit your notes. This ingame editing feature is meant to be more of a memory hook for later online editing rather than a final editing tool.

After everything is done you may want to clear your uploaded data from the game's memory to save some memory space. To do that just log into the game, open the questFlux Control Panel and you will find the Clear All Recorded Data option at the lower left corner of the Guide Recorder panel. Attention! Do not delete the uploaded questFlux.lua file unless you want to delete the recorded data of ALL your characters!
So that's all for now! This section will surely grow over time, covering each and every element of the questFlux addon. But after this brief introduction you should already be able to use questFlux. If you still have to struggle with inconsistencies please report your problems through the contact form ! Otherwise you may want to download the addon ...
