Anybody out there?

bypuppenizervor 3 Jahren

I know there must be a few people out there using the questFlux addon. What are your thoughts about the add? Is it usable in an acceptable way?

I want to know what features you would like to have inserted into the next releases of the questFlux addon. Here is a small preview what is on my list so far:

Secondary Tasks - these task will be displayed while completing some other tasks, but they are not able to hold the progress of the guide like the usual guide steps would do (at least not until the secondary task reaches a certain status)

Example
You cross a certain area of the map a few times to complete some tasks, and you have to kill, let's say, 20 wolves for another quest. This killing task would normally be your first task as soon as you reach the desired map area, and it won't let you proceed with the guide until you killed all the 20 wolves. But considering the fact that some mobs are very rare and might even have a horrible respawn rate this behaviour isn't very time-effective. So a secondary task will be displayed all the time you are completing tasks around the certain map area, the guide proceeds as normal and you can kill the wolves as they cross your way. The last time you cross the wolf map area (this also depends on the guide author and were he placed the hidden end of the secondary task) the addon will check if you have already killed all the needed mobs, and if not, the task will become 'primary' forcing you to kill the remaining mobs to proceed with the guide.

Heavy / Group Quest Switch - this feature should be inserted by guide authors that want to mix up solo and group quests, or want to include very heavy tasks or dungeon quests into their guides. A quest switch will be a simple text info step giving the player the option to choose whether he wants to skip the next heavy quests(s) or not.

Ok, beside a 'quick quest skip' option, these are the next features to come. Any suggestions or critics?

Heyho,

I think it would be nice if multiple steps could be moved the same time in the guide editor, so whole blocks of a guide could be switched in their order.

Multiple Task Selection

Hey Aux,

your requested feature is already on the way. At the moment I'm integrating the Guide Editor into the new website layout, so this is quite a good chance to add some new features and to improve the handling.

Hehe hello, what a cute little forum

Just gotta say I think Auxchamps' suggestion is very nice. I noticed there are some cases when questFlux doesn't really group the tasks the way I would, although it does a good job generally.

Oh, and it would be nice if I saw the posts in the thread I'm replying to when I'm writing the post

Edit: made the last sentence clearer
